For its 7th year Bingley Music Live 2013 has turned to the grooves and funk of Chic to keep the party moving. Riding high on the success of his current collaboration with Daft Punk 'Get Lucky' sitting comfortably in the no. 1 slot in the charts. Niles Rodgers is no doubt on a wave, hopefully this spotlight will introduce his disco funk perfection to a whole new generation of fans. Chic is just one of the many iterations of great music Niles Rodgers has released onto the music scene, he’s collaborated with Luther Vandross, Sister Sledge, Diana Ross, Debbie Harry, David Bowie, INXS, Duran Duran, Grace Jones and Madonna (to name a few),  he is as influential and talented as they come. Younger readers do yourself a favour and go through Chic's back catalogue a bit so you can properly boogie with them when they play, you'll find yourself surprisingly familiar with a lot of it.

Chic will appear at Myrtle Park between August 30th-September 1st alongside Primal Scream, The Cribs, The Human League, The Wonder Stuff, The Fratellis, Lucy Spraggan, Charlie Brown, The Lake Poets, The Temperance Movement, Loveable Rogues, Summer Camp, The Struts, The Electric Swing Circus, Natasha Haws, Rose and the Howling North, and Holy Moly and the Crackers.

Bingley Music Live have frozen weekend tickets at last year’s prices, at just £45 (plus booking fee) for a three day ticket. There's also a limited number of children’s tickets available for £30(plus booking fee) for 3-12 year olds  and under 3s are free.
