About Wychwood Music Festival 2009
The history of Wychwood Festival actually goes back for around 150 years where the roots of the event were established by
a gathering in an ancient forest.
Nowadays the event resides at Cheltenham Racecourse for three-days at the end of
May with a full programme of folk, roots, rock and world music.
The intimate event boasts around 80 acts that reflect
a mixture of the established and the emerging. Then, once the main stages close down, the festival holds a Silent Disco into
the early hours.
The family-friendly festival also offers adult and children's workshops that cover everything from
circus skills and music to yoga and tai chi. The event also has a solar powered cinema, performance poetry, comedy, Healing
Gardens, the Global Village and exotic food and drink stalls.
