About WOMADelaide 2009

WOMADelaide is the Australian leg of the WOMAD festival series, which now takes in 27 different countries around the globe. Held annually at Botanic Park, Adelaide, South Australia the three-day event is an all-encompassing music, arts and dance experience.

The festival aims to give those in attendance an insight into a different culture from their own with acts and artists handpicked from each corner of the world.

Jazz, funk, hip hop, dance and ambient acts get equal billing over the festival's six stages with over 100 arts, crafts and international food stalls to tickle taste buds as well.

It also boasts a laidback, welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere with a infamous KidZone, visual arts area and street theatre, as well as a host of workshops.
