About Whitby Folk Week 2009
This festival is an entire week dedicated to folk music in Whitby, West Yorkshire with entertainment ranging from concerts
to public dance displays and everything folk in between.
There are over 600 events across the week including sing-a-rounds,
workshops, street entertainers and sessions with the likes of John Kirkpatrick, Too Many Strings and Keith Donnelly performing
in the past.
The festival also has an extensive children's programme and 'fringe' events that blossom spontaneously.
Camping is available and the site has water, toilets and showers.
