Set in the stunning Herefordfshire hills, the event has developed into a melting pot of creativity and craziness akin to Glastonbury, although much smaller and as the name would suggest more 'chilled'.

Most of the live acts perform on the two main outdoor stages just a five minute walk from each other, although the themed DJ bars further afield prove almost as popular. Perhaps the festival's most distinct feature is the famous arts trail which snakes high up a steep hill, a fantastic spectacle by night and a fitting symbol of the boundaries pushed by The Big Chill.

Unless you've been before don't expect to recognise too many of the acts on the bill, but be rest assured you'll come home remembering quite a few...

Facilities include a general store, bars, food and merch stalls, cash point and 24 hour cafe. Alcohol cannot be brought into the main arena but is permitted in the camping areas although strictly no glass. Camping is free although camper vans require a ticket. Over 18s only unless accompanied.less
