Scotland's biggest festival has now fully cemented itself as three-day festival after extending its schedule by a day in 2007. Winner of two 'Best Major Festival' awards in 2005 and 2006, the Balado bash has been regarded and recognized as one of the top festivals of the summer.

A regular sell out and with tickets being snapped up in record time last year, T in the Park attracts 80,000 revellers to watch some of world's greatest acts a la Rage Against The Machine, R.E.M. and The Verve in 2008 as well as a whole host of top rock, pop, hip hop and dance acts too.

Renowned for an unbelievable atmosphere, the Scottish fans give as much energy to the headliners as they do to breaking bands in the T-Break stage and the traditional ceilidh dance tent.

T In The Park 2009 will also have a Healthy T area, which allows revellers to eat healthily whilst away for the weekend, as well as promoting green initiatives - with T becoming the largest carbonneutral festival in the world last year.

There is also bespoke camping options available at T 2009 as well as plenty of food and drink stalls scattered around the site.

AGreenerFestival say this about the festival: Scotland's T-in-The-Park has been carbon neutral since 1996 and goes to great lengths to protect the local environment and waterways. The festival promotes public transport and works in partnership with Perth & Kinross Lift Share. Recycling facilities are found throughout the festival site and T's website is excellent - the 'Green T' section covers environmental efforts made by organisers as well as information for the audience to reduce their environmental impact.
