About Suikerrock 2010
Suikerrock is a rock and rock festival in the city of Tienen, in the centre of Belgium. Tienen is best known for its sugar
refinery, hence the festival's name: suiker is Flemish for sugar.
The three-day event, which has been running for
23 years, is no stranger to big international acts with Lionel Richie, Tiesto, Iggy Pop, Lauren Hill and plenty more performing
in the past.
The main stage is located on the beautiful market square 'Grote Markt'.
There is an additional stage
(Maniacs-stage) with new upcoming bands on in a nearby market place (Veemarkt), and in the streets between the two stages
there's a lot of other entertainment.
Only for the main stage tickets are required, the other parts of the festival
are free.
