About Split Festival 2010
The second edition of Split Festival returns to the Ashbrooke Sports Club in Sunderland this September. The event has been
organised by several local luminaries including Barry Hyde of The Futureheads.
The Split Festival celebrates the diverse
musical heritage of Sunderland, as well as showcasing the cream of the crop of Newcastle-based bands.
Split Festival
2011 will be held under one huge covered arena, designed to hold off the late summer showers. Expertise and a selection of
weathered musical legends have joined forces to give you a weekend of non-stop exclusive music, moving seamlessly between
the two stages on offer.
The Futureheads, Frankie and The Heartstrings and Field Music have been highlights of the
Split Festival line up in previous years.
