Sonisphere is the world's largest touring rock festival, taking place over 3 days at Knebworth Park (a venue
steeped in rock heritage) in the UK and rolling across 11 other European countries.
In the UK, Sonisphere packs over
140 of the greatest, heaviest bands on the planet onto its six stages. A unique and welcome feature is the 'flip-flopping'
of the two main 'Apollo' and 'Saturn' stages, situated opposite one another, allowing fans to catch all of the main acts in
full. A wealth of up-and-comers and familiar favourites adorn the surrounding Bohemia, Red Bull Jam, Strongbow and Jagermeister
stages.
Far more than just big bands in a field, Sonisphere is renowned for its infectious character and uplifting
atmosphere. Located between the campsite and the main arena, the Bohemia Village offers a heady mix of entertaining carnage,
set against a Moulin-Rouge-meets-Mad-Max background, and forms the focal point of the customary Thursday night fancy dress
party (this year's theme: Superheroes!). In addition to the abundance of music, the festival's feast of attractions include
big name comedy acts, fairground rides, food and market stalls and plenty of after-hours action with a silent disco, metal
karaoke and much more.
Sonisphere was brought to the world by veteran rock promoter Stuart Galbraith (of Kilimanjaro
Live) and progresses a legacy set by his previous creations Download and Monsters Of Rock.
If you've already got your
festival tickets why not travel by train? Most of the UK's festivals are ideally located within a short distance of railway
stations and often, the festivals provide a shuttle bus service to take you directly from the station to the site. Raileasy
recommends that everyone books their train tickets early; cheap tickets are released up to 12 weeks in advance and you could
save up to 80%. Go green; take the train to this year's summer festivals.
Raileasy is an easy to use online retailer
of train tickets, helping you to find the best fare to fit your needs. Delivering value on advanced rates and offering flexibility
with journey times, Raileasy sells a full range of tickets throughout the UK. Raileasy is committed to protecting the environment
and encourages travellers to choose the greener option and go by train, rather than flying or driving. To view train ticket
availability, including times and prices go to new.raileasy.co.uk.
