Sonisphere is a brand spanking new series of metal festivals set to take Europe by storm this summer. 6 events, running through
Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and Scandinavia will provide riffs and double bass drums in abundance to over 350,000
European festival goers.
Metallica are set to play all 6 festivals in 2009 with the likes of Slipknot, Lamb of God
and Linkin Park making up the numbers in various countries.
The Swedish leg of the event will take place in the Folkets
Park, Hultsfred in the south-east of the country, a renowned open-air venue.
The nearest international airport is Skavsta
Airport with rail links to Hultsfred itself. Copenhagen and Stockholm international airports also provide European music fans
with further continental travel links to the festival.
