Sonisphere is a brand spanking new series of metal festivals set to take Europe by storm this summer. 6 events, running through
Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and Scandinavia will provide riffs and double bass drums in abundance to over 350,000
European festival goers.
MMetallica are set to play all 6 festivals in 2009 with the likes of Slipknot, Lamb of God
and Linkin Park making up the numbers in various countries.
The Spanish leg of the event will take place in the renowned
festival site of Barcelona's Parc del Forum. The site, ideally situated on the Mediterranean coast will provide punters with
top class facilities in one of Europe's most vibrant cities.
Barcelona provides a wealth of hostels and hotel options
while international flights fly to both Barcelona International Airport and Girona Airport 60km north of the city. International
and domestic trains also run through Barcelona Sants station.
