About Sonisphere 2009 (Germany)
Sonisphere is a brand spanking new series of metal festivals set to take Europe by storm this summer. 6 events, running through
Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and Scandinavia will provide riffs and double bass drums in abundance to over 350,000
European festival goers.
Metallica are set to play all 6 festivals in 2009 with the likes of Slipknot, Lamb of God
and Linkin Park making up the numbers in various countries.
The German leg of the event will take place on the famous
Hockenheimring, Germany's F1 Grand Prix site in the east of the country.
Hockenheim station is on the rail line to
Karlsruhe which is accessible via rail from France (TGV network), Switzerland and all over Germany. The town is also near
Baden Airpark (Flughafen Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden) which serves a host of European destinations.
