About Solfest 2007

Billed as Cumbria's 'biggest and most vibrant festival', Solfest has a music policy that spans celtic, world, roots, pop, folk, dance and everything in between, setting top names alongside local acts.

Expanded in 2006 and now catering for around 5,000 people, the family-friendly festival includes a main stage, bar stage, chill out area, dance tent and several workshops for young and old alike.

The festival prides itself in minimising its ecological impact. It also defies categorisation by actively programing as many different styles of music and arts as possible. Acts as diverse as Baka Beyond, The Saw Doctors, Peatbog Faeries, and Oysterband have all appeared in recent years.
