About Roskilde 2008

The Scandinavian equivalent of Glastonbury, and established in the same year, Roskilde is famed for its extension beyond the music, despite boasting more than 150 live acts.

Festival-goers are able to enjoy a wide spectrum of activities and alternative entertainment ranging from wall climbing, skating and cinema to more arty pursuits such as book readings and poetry slams.

Around 75,000 revellers attend annually to enjoy a stellar selection of artists with The Flaming Lips, Tiesto and Arctic Monkeys all performing last year. The festival is also a strong supporter of humanitarian causes and it allows ticket holders to camp in the camp building up to the main event.
