About Roskilde 2006
The Scandinavian equivalent of Glastonbury and established in the same year, Roskilde is also about much more than just the
music despite boasting more than 150 live acts.
A strong supporter of humanitarian causes, the festival promotes environmental
awareness to its 75,000 festival goers and relies on an army of volunteers to police and manage the festival, leading to a
uniquely relaxed vibe.
As well one of Europe's premier music bills, festival goers can look forward to a wide range
of activities spanning wall climbing, skating, cinema, poetry slam and book readings, as well as the more traditional market
stalls and workshops.
Despite being a weekend event, camping is available in the week building up to the festival.
