About Reworks Festival 2009

Reworks Festival is a sun-filled music and arts gathering which takes place in Thessaloniki, Greece every September. Bringing together contemporary culture and forward thinking music in an urban environment, REWORKS is considered a touchstone for the music and creative arts in Greece and a showcase for new trends and emerging talent. It is a national meeting point for the musical youth of the country, and celebrated for its good value and quality programming, but is less familiar with audiences in the UK and beyond.

Based around the close connection and ties between music, multimedia, art and culture, REWORKS presents new musical and artistic paths and directions in one of the most historic parts of the Byzantine city of Thessaloniki, through new commissions, installations, live performances and label showcases, including a range of Greek artists who present exclusive projects made specially for the festival.

The festival consists of a range of different live stages and environments, including Reworks Club (hosting techno, minimal & Techno), Reworks Air Stage (house, tech and disco), Reworks Lab (electronica, abstract), Atrium (live bands, jazz, funk & soul), two galleries, and the theatre hall. REWORKS also hosts a market where labels, record shops and clothing brands participate as well as food halls and cafes within the festival area.
