In 1985 Pukkelpop began with a measly seven acts on one stage, but during the 20-odd years that have followed the festival has grown and matured and it now attracts some of the biggest artists from across the globe.

After a series of venue changes the Belgium festival now resides at Kempische Steenweg terrains in Kiewit, Hasselt. Last year the likes of The Smashing Pumpkins, Tool and Arcade Fire wowed the Flemish thousands, so expect more top names in 2008.

Aside from the bands the festival has a range of top-name DJs, theatre, a comedy stage, a cinema as well as food and drink stalls.
