2009 will see Provinssirock open the Finish festival summer for the 31st time as the self proclaimed 'party of the people' returns once more to the city of Seinajoki, western Finland.

Five venues spread around the scenic Tornava museum and park area welcome artists from all four corners of the rock world and high calibre acts from a range of other genres.

Indeed Linkin Park and The Foo Fighters were joined last year by Justice and Sudanese, ex boy-soldier Emmanual Jal, indulging festival goers in three days of music, art and more importantly still, the company of others.

The nearest international airport is that of the city of Vaasa, 80km from the festival site and accessible by rail.
