About Oya Festival 2009
Set in the medieval park in Oslo's oldest district Oya gives revellers the chance to catch some massive acts at a venue steeped
in history.
Step in amongst the ruins of the old Oslo to enjoy a 4 day festival with a penchant for indie and rock.
Franz Ferdinand, N.E.R.D and Mogwai have all played in recent years while Bon Iver, Satyricon and The Arctic Monkeys have
already been confirmed for 2009.
Oya has three stages as well as boasting an incredible selection of good food prepared
exclusively by Oslo's best up and coming chefs.
The festival also prides itself on being environmentally sound and
encourages and a host of actions to ensure that the site is left intact as well as implementing one of Europe's most effective
waste disposal systems.
As a city festival there is no camping available at the festival but a campsite near the event
as well as numerous hostels and hotels are at hand to welcome European festival goers.
Oslo Airport Gardermoen, Sandefjord
Airport Torp Moss Airport Rygge ensure that Oslo is an easily accessible destination from all over Europe. Rail links to Denmark
and Sweden also run from Oslo Central Station.
