Officially the Best European Festival of 2008, as voted for on VF by revellers from all over the continent, Oxegen will be back in 2009 to cement its ascension to the top of the festival table.

Kings of Leon, REM, Rage Against the Machine and Amy Winehouse were amongst those drawing the crowds last year, providing yet another fairytale line-up over six stages to satisfy the hardiest of music lovers.

With the majority of the bill traditionally shared with Scotland's T In The Park, which takes place the same weekend, the same calibre of artists can be expected at Punchestown Racecourse this time round.

Punters will also be spoilt for choice in the culinary department with a selection of foods and bevies from the most exotic of locations available to all whilst the adrenaline junkies can appease their need for thrills with a variety of fair-ground attractions.

Camping is available with the campsite usually opening a day before the festival gates open. Dublin Airport serves a huge number of European destinations and is only a short bus ride into Dublin itself here free shuttle buses to the festival site are available.
