About Open Air St.Gallen 2009
Open Air St.Gallen has been on the festival map since 1977, growing from a 2,500 capacity event to a renowned musical extravaganza
which now welcomes 90,000 over three days.
Nestled in the picturesque Sitter river loop just outside the city of Saint
Gallen, northern Switzerland, the festival attracts music fans from all over Europe with a truly eclectic musical mix.
The
festival traditionally puts on a huge amount of Swiss talent alongside a wealth of international artists, setting it apart
from other Swiss festivals.
The Prodigy, The Kooks and Beck all took to the three stages last year ensuring a line-up
a varied musical styles which also put on show some of the best in folk, world music and even comedy for the delight of those
attending.
Camping is available throughout the weekend. St.Gallen-Altenrhein Airport is on the doorstep with daily
flights to Vienna. Zurich is only 1h away by rail and has major international rail and aerial links
