East London rapper, MC, poet and prophet
No relation of nosey neighbour Michael Paine, or Michael Caine, or indeed Michael Palin. Mikill, or Mister Pane as he's often referred to, is a MC, rapper, poet with a penchant for dropping often gritty, sometimes morose but always hard-hitting lines of fleshed out reflective verse.
He's managed by fast-rising producer Jake Gosling and has collaborated with Ed Sheeran previously, but don't let this be his only claim to the throne. There's a real depth, sardonic wit and wordplay running through his work, and like Mercury nominated sensation of 2011, Ghostpoet, he can still work it in with a neat beat and all round sense of sick rhythm. After four years in the game his debut LP 'Blame Miss Barclay' is due out before festival season kick off and with Radio One fighting his corner it looks to be the catalyst for attention and adulation the wordsmith has long overdue to him.
