About Nova Rock 2009

Nova Rock has only been around since 2005 but has grown to become Austria's and one of Europe's biggest rock festivals, welcoming 55,000 fans daily to rock out in style.

This year will be the festival's fifth and it will be celebrating with Germany's favourite old school punks Die Toten Hosen confirmed to headline alongside the mighty Placebo, who will be returning to the festival after playing the 2006 edition.

Held in the Pannonia Fields near the city of Nicklesdorf the two open air stages will host yet again a number of high calibre artists from the mainstream and hard rock scenes, catering for the rockers, the moshers and everyone in between.

Nicklesdorf is situated in the easternmost province of Austria which borders Slovakia and Hungary. This makes it accessible through both Vienna and Bratislava Internaional Airports.The train is also on the AUstrian national rail network run by 'Oebb' and has further international connections.
