Wu-Tang Clan dive into their set on the Pyramid Stage

Wu-Tang Clan got the Pyramid Stage jumping as the first full day of bands got into full swing at Glastonbury Festival 2011.

With ‘Bring Da Ruckus’ and ‘Shame On A Nigga’ played early on, the rain didn’t deter a large crowd.

Method Man was especially active during the set, promising “a show which you won’t see anywhere else”, diving into the crowd at the end of his eponymous song, and launching a diatribe against British airport customs before ‘Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthin Ta F’Wit’.

Well received run-throughs of ‘Clan in da Front’ and ‘Ice Cream’ featured, before they paid tribute to the late ODB, with a version of ‘Shimmy Shimmy Ya’, along with a chorus of ‘Got Your Money’. The group’s biggest UK hit, ‘Gravel Pit’ also got an airing later on, with the group thanking “lovers of real hip-hop” as they left the stage.
