Wolfmother beat off competition from over 2,500 bands to be named as the fan's golden tip for this year's Pinkpop.
Event organisers asked festival-goers to vote online for the acts they wanted to see at play at the festival this summer, with over 18,000 duly casting their opinion.
Being chosen as the golden tip for Pinkpop should come as no shock to the Australian band though as they have become highly successful in the last three years with 25 award nominations, of which they won nine, including a Grammy for ‘Best Hard Rock Performance’.
They will join headliners Rammstein on the bill as well as Pink, Kasabian, John Mayer and many more who are already confirmed.
Tickets are on sale now priced at 140EUR for a three-day camping pass or 75EUR for a day ticket.
