Weezer head the new names announced for Sonisphere 2011, which takes place at Knebworth House, Stevenage on 8-10 July.
Rivers and Co will make it their only English festival appearance this year while Airbourne and rising Brighton rockers Architects will also perform that weekend.
Heavy metal pioneers Diamond Head are confirmed to appear on the Friday (8 July), alongside the bands famously inspired by them – the Big Four of Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax.
At last year's Sonisphere Bulgaria, all 17 members took to the stage to cover Diamond Head's ‘Am I Evil’, footage of which can be seen on the Sonisphere website.
Biffy Clyro and Slipknot are the festival's other headliners, with Motorhead, Mastodon and In Flames among other names set to perform, with more still to be announced.
Tickets are on sale now, with a weekend camping ticket priced at £180.
