Radiohead, Morrissey, and Faithless have been confirmed as headliners for this year's V Festival, with Beck, Paul Weller, The Magic Numbers, Keane and Kasabian among many more also announced...
Morrissey and Faithless will co-headline one of the days with Radiohead closing the other. Organisers have not revealed whether the Oxford rockers will be sharing headlining duties with another act.
Other bands confirmed for the twin-sited festival include Editors, Groove Armada, Bloc Party, Starsailor, The Charlatans and The Ordinary Boys.
Fatboy Slim, The Go! Team, Orson, James Dean Bradfield, Sugababes, and The Feeling are the remaining acts confirmed.
V Festival 2006 takes place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex, and Weston Park, Staffordshire, on 19-20 August with two bills swapping sites over the two days.

More than 60 acts are still to be confirmed for this year, with James Blunt, Massive Attack, Hard Fi, The Like, Seth Lakeman, and Kubb among those rumoured to be getting a slot.
Tickets for V Festival 2006 go on sale here at 9am this Friday (3 March) priced £120 for weekend camping, £100 for weekend without camping, £58.50 for day passes.
On hearing the Radiohead confirmation (rumoured on VF since December), one enraptured reader emailed VF to say: “To be in Thom Yorke’s presence, to hear him sing like a blackbird on a spring morning, to watch him do his little rabbit dance around the stage, to hear new radiohead stuff, to watch Johnny and the other make musical magic…ahhh, I am sooooooo excited! (I am not ‘obsessed’ just ‘in love’)“.
