Two Door Cinema Club: ‘Reading is the best experience of our lives’

Two Door Cinema Club drew the biggest NME/Radio 1 Stage crowd of the weekend so far, calling their show 'the best experience of our lives.'

The Northern Irish indie band, who made the BBC Sound Of 2010 list, proved that they were worth their salt in an energetic 45 minute set.

“We wish we could play for longer,”
said singer Alex Trimble at the end of their performance, “I want to thank you for the best experience of our lives.”

The group had run through tracks from their debut ‘Tourist History’ like ‘Cigarettes In The Cinema’ and ‘Do You Want It All’ but it was new single ‘Come Back Home’ that really got the crowd jumping.

A sweaty Dan from Cardiff caught his breath to say: “That was just brilliant!”

Reading Festival 2010 continues with sets from Guns n' Roses, Queens Of The Stone Age and more.
