Tony Christie to play Glastonbury

'Amarillo' singer Tony Christie is down to play this summer's Glastonbury Festival.

The veteran has snapped up one of the Sunday afternoon slots on the Pyramid Stage, following in the footsteps of such legends as Neil Diamond, James Brown, Brian Wilson and Dame Shirley Bassey.

The Worthy Farm masses are set to be treated to a few of his newer tracks as well as a couple of timeless classics as he joins golden oldies Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen on the bill.

Blur are due to make a much anticipated comeback at the five day event with the likes of Franz Ferdinand, Lily Allen and Bon Iver also confirmed. Click here for the latest Glastonbury line-up and VF rumours.
