London four-piece The Vaccines have been forced to cancel an appearance at Eurosonic Noorderslag.

Lead singer Justin Young had a minor throat operation last week and has been ordered to recuperate.

The group also rescheduled tonight's (January 12) sold-out date in Tunbridge Wells. The concert will now take place on February 21 and original tickets will still be valid.

The band's upcoming tour, which starts on January 18, will go ahead as planned.

Youthless also had to cancel due to illness, and Ellen and the Escapades cancelled due to family circumstances.

The Vaccines will be replaced by Pulled Apart by Horses, who move from Huize Maas Front to Huize Maas Main Stage, with The Crookes set to play an extra show to cover the gap that they leave.

Youthless will be replaced by an extra show from The Inspector Cluzo, while I Am Oak replaces Ellen and the Escapades.

EuroSonic Noorderslag 2011 takes place in various venues around Groningen in the Netherlands on 12-15 January.

Tickets are sold out.

Virtual Festivals will be covering the event, as well as the European Festival Awards which take place tonight ahead of the event.
