The Prodigy are the latest act to be confirmed for Norway's Hove Festivalen.
The 90’s ravers, famed for tracks like ‘Firestarter’, ‘Smack My Bitch Up’ and current single ‘Invaders Must Die’, will join a bill that already boasts Faith No More, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Slipknot, The Ting Tings and many more.
Speaking about the booking, Festival Republic’s Melvin Benn said: "The Prodigy first played a festival for me in the early nineties in the old rave days in the UK. They played Tribal Gathering in Oxfordshire and volume of the show could be heard in London! They blew everyone away including myself.
"This is probably the 20th festival they have done for me so they are clearly a favourite and this year they play Reading and Leeds as well as Hove. The band have come back stronger than ever, and the show will epitomize mayhem. Miss it at your peril!"
Hove Festivalen 2009 takes place between 22-25 June and is located on the island of Tromøya.
Weekend ticket cost 1550,00 NOK (approx. £159, 178 Euro).
