The Darkness reform for Download Festival 2011

Get the spandex bodysuit out because The Darkness are back and set for a performance at Download Festival 2011.

As predicted by Virtual Festivals, the group famed for ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love’ and ‘Get Your Hands Off My Woman’, will appear below headliners Def Leppard at the event.

Linkin Park and System Of A Down will also top the bill at Download Festival 2011, which takes place at Donington Park in Castle Donington from 10-12 June.

Other names added to the line-up include Framing Hanley, Funeral For A Friend, Hyro Da Hero, Kvelertak and Plain White T’s.

Pendulum, Korn, Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie and Aveneged Sevenfold are among those announced previously.

Bring Me The Horizon, Disturbed, Madina Lake and Black Stone Cherry will play as well, along with The King Blues, Bowling For Soup, Frank Turner and many more.

Download Festival 2011 tickets are on sale now priced at £180 for a weekend ticket with five days camping, £170 for a weekend ticket with three days camping and £145 for a weekend-only ticket.
