The Darkness for T in the Park 2004

Lead singer Justin Hawkins followed in David Bowie's footsteps by last night announcing, live on-stage, that his band would be appearing at T in the Park 2004!

teased the 3000 strong crowd at their sold out Corn Exchange gig with the words “Watch
out in the papers tomorrow for news about T in the Park, we might be involved…”.
Then, for the benefit of the slower fans, he re-iterated, “See
you at T in the Park!” as he left the stage after the second encore of
the night.

It will mark The Darkness‘ second consecutive
appearance at T in the Park on 10th and 11th July. Last year, they opened the
Main Stage for business on Sunday – a performance which Scottish
bassist Frankie Poullain heralds as the peak of their year.

Geoff Ellis, CEO of promoters DF Concerts commented: “This is the earliest
we’ve ever gone on sale with T in the Park and
tickets are already selling amazingly fast. 2004 looks set to be the quickest
sell out in the festival’s history.”
