The Bronx at Reading Festival 2011 - review. We want your reviews too!

LA hardcore lads The Bronx destroy the Lock Up stage during their second Reading Festival move of the day – after playing in their less recognisable Mariachi guise earlier.

‘Knifeman’ is the first fist-pumping piece of the hardcore onslaught. It hardly relents from there in.

“Leeds is alright, but it’s about Reading motherfuckers!” frontman Matt Caughthran screams out, encouraging the fans to rip shit up in the crowd as he welcomes their ‘Shitty Future’.

Not settled with instigating the pit, Matt decides to participate and jumps in for an itchy-feet rendition of ‘False Alarm’.

You get the feeling Bronx’s three self-titled albums have each produced a wealth of fan favourites, from slow burner ‘Strobe Life’ to mean talking ‘Heart Attack American’. It doesn’t take much of a spark to ignite that passion in those who revere the band so much. Tonight belongs to the Bronx believers.
