Sunrise Celebration have launched a unique partnership which will see the recently cancelled festival take place at The Big Chill.
The eco-friendly event was due to take place last weekend in Somerset (30 May-1 June) but organisers called it off at the last minute following flash floods.
But, in an unprecedented move, Sunrise Celebration will still go ahead in the grounds of another festival, after accepting an offer from The Big Chill to join them at their Eastnor Park site, in Herefordshire, from 1-3 August.
A similar programme of artists, shows and environmental innovations will be on show for disappointed Sunrise Celebration fans, all of whom are invited to the 30,000 capacity festival.
Speaking about the deal, Katrina Larkin co-founder of The Big Chill said: “We know that Sunrise Celebration can bring something really special to The Big Chill. We admire their green ethos and spirit and we’re so pleased they took us up on the offer.”
“We really felt for them when we heard the news at the weekend but we are so pleased to be able to help out and are absolutely delighted to be welcoming them into the Big Chill as part of our happy family.”
As well as artists scheduled for Sunrise Celebration, such as The Orb and Dub Pistols, ticket holders will be able to see Big Chill acts like Leonard Cohen and The Mighty Boosh.
The Big Chill also announced a joint ticket deal with London festival Lovebox – more details HERE – which effectively means you can go to 'three' festivals now if you include the addition of Sunrise Celebration.
Tickets for The Big Chill on sale HERE priced £129 for the weekend with reductions for students and teenagers.
