With the reformed Manchester band announced as headliners for T in the Park, Benicassim and Fuji Rock yesterday, the report also says the quartet are “currently in negotiations” to top the bill at at least one of the major English festivals next year.

While V Festival is understood to be the favourite for their signature, The Sun piece alleges that Reading and Leeds and a relaunched Phoenix Festival are also possible destinations.

Ian Brown, John Squire, Mani and Reni are reportedly already set to make £10million from their three comeback gigs in Manchester’s Heaton Park, with all 225,000 tickets for the shows on June 29, 30 and 1 July 2012 selling out in under an hour last month.
