As predicted on Virtual Festivals, Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band are set to headline this year's Hyde Park Calling.
The performance will be The Boss' first ever festival appearance outside the United States.
The band will top the bill on Sunday 28 June after slots from American rockers Dave Matthews Band and one of VF's picks of 2009 The Gaslight Anthem.
Speaking about today's announcement Hamish Dodds, president and CEO, of Hard Rock International said: "We are thrilled to announce Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band as a headliner of Hard Rock Calling.
"Bruce Springsteen has truly been an 'Ambassador of Rock' and a great philanthropic partner to Hard Rock International helping raise more than a million dollars for charities through the Hard Rock Signature Series program and the Hard Rock Serve CDs, which featured never-released tracks from Springsteen."
AC/DC are widely rumoured to be headlining the Saturday (27 June) night, while Bruce Springsteen is also expected to be confirmed for the top slot on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury.
Hard Rock Calling 2009 will take place at Hyde Park in London from 27-28 June.
Tickets will be on sale this Friday (13 February) priced at £45 (plus booking fee).
