Sonisphere will host a two minute silence in remembrance of Paul Gray.
With Slipknot playing their first UK gig since the bass player’s passing when they headline the festival on Sunday 10 July, the silence will be led from the Saturn Stage at 2pm.
There will also be a giant book of remembrance for fans to leave their own obituaries, thoughts or drawings in at the Metal Hammer signing tent all weekend, which will then be passed to Slipknot at the end of the festival.
Sonisphere 2011 takes place at Knebworth House, Stevenage on 8-10 July, with the Big Four (Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax) and Biffy Clyro headlining the festival’s other two days.
Four-day camping tickets are onsale now, priced at £180, with three-day camping at £170.
