Sonisphere 2012 will take place on 6-8 July next year, organisers have confirmed.
In a press conference on site on the 2011 festival’s final day yesterday (Sunday 10 July), it was also revealed that the priority for next year is a “balanced bill across all rock and metal genres” and that, with the festival selling out for the first time, this year’s capacity of 60,000 would be retained for next year’s event.
A limited number of tickets for next year’s event, held at this year’s price, will go on sale on Wednesday (13 July). Early Bird ticket buyers will also receive an exclusive T-shirt.
The Big 4 (Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax), Biffy Clyro and Slipknot took headlining duties this year.
