US metallers Slipknot have announced that they will host a live stream of their performance at Sonisphere festival this Sunday, with the band set to headline the final day of the Knebworth rock event.
The show marks the Iowa band’s first appearance in the UK without founding member Paul Gray, who died last year.
The special real-time Webcast will take place on the masked group’s website, Slipknot1.com from 9pm GMT.
Ahead of the performance, the band said: “England has always been a special place for this band from the very beginning. We can’t think of a better way to culminate our celebration of Paul’s life than to share it with the Maggots at Knebworth and the millions more watching around the world. This is not to be missed.”
Sonisphere festival 2011 takes place this weekend (8-10 July) at Knebworth with Metallica and Biffy Clyro topping the bill alongside Slipknot.
