Seasick Steve at Reading Festival 2011 - review. We want your reviews too!
“This piece of shit with one string is called a diddley bow,” so Seasick Steve introduces possibly the second most famous accompaniment he has on the Reading main stage today. The first? Well, that’s Led Zeppelin’s bassist John Paul Jones, just second song in.
The former busker knows the art of working a crowd: he serenades a girl in the crowd with ‘Walking Man’ and spends gaps in tracks to down thunderbird wine.
It’s a genuinely humble showing from an incredibly, talented man. ‘Dog House Blues’ is foot-stomping country at it’s best.
