Coal Chamber have announced they are to reform to play Soundwave Festival 2012, which tours Australia through February and March.
Frontman Dev Fafara who also plays with Devil Driver announced on their official website the band have reformed specifically for the five date touring festival down under. In the statement he said: “Coal Chamber is playing Soundwave down under! These reunion shows are for the fans that want to see us again as well as all the people that never got to see Coal Chamber. It is and always will be a very special part of my life, so these few shows are for those people and for us. If you’re not from Australia, better get a ticket now to come see this event!”
Soundwave 2012 will tour Australia for the following dates:
Brisbane, 25 February 2012
Sydney, 26 February 2012
Melbourne, 2 March 2012
Adelaide, 3 March 2012
Perth, 5 March 2012
So far Mastodon, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Machine Head, Hole, Madina Lake, CKY and Trivium are amongst the other names confirmed for Soundwave 2012.
This news will fuel rumours the band will reform for further dates in 2012, including UK metal festivals Download Festival 2012, Sonisphere 2012 and Ozzfest 2012.
