Latitude has announced new acts to its theatre programme, and announced plans to teach fans the ultimate festival instrument in just an hour.
The music and arts festival takes place at Henham Park, Southwold in Suffolk, from 17-20 July, featuring headline sets by Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Ros and Interpol.
Organisers have just announced several new additions to its theatre arena. The National Theatre New Connections will perform Abi Morgan’s Fugee during the weekend, while the Royal Shakespeare Company will present work by Anthony Neilson and Adriano Shaplin. The Lyric, Hammersmith will also present Cartoon de Salvo over the weekend.
Fans will also be able to get involved with the arts by learning the ukulele at a special workshop which promises to teach the instrument within an hour. Ukuleles have been synonomous with festivals in the past few years with an impromptu orchestra of fans playing at last year's Bestival.
The Lake Stage will see a performance by Sadler's Wells, featuring Wayne McGregor/Random Dance, Gaure Sharma Tripathi and Blue Boy Entertainment as part of The Blank Album.
Meanwhile, Simon Say, Scott Capurro, Hans Teeuwen and Milton Jones have been added to the Comedy Arena and Mark Steel to the Literary Arena.
Other acts playing at Latitude include Elbow, The Breeders, MIA, Phil Jupitus, Bill Bailey, Grinderman, Tindersticks and many more. Full line up HERE.
Tickets are still available, priced £130 for the weekend. You can also buy day tickets for £55. Buy HERE.
