Rock am Ring 2012 tickets sell out

Rock am Ring 2012 tickets have sold out, with tickets for sister festival Rock im Park 2012 selling at "record pace", according to organisers.

Linkin Park, Soundgarden and Gossip were among the most recent acts to be announced for the twin events, with more still to be revealed.

Metallica, who will play ‘The Black Album’ in its entirety, and Die Toten Hosen take headlining duties on the other two days.

Other acts confirmed to be appearing at both sites include Trivium, Skrillex, Kasabian, The Subways, M.I.A., The Offspring, Killswitch Engage, Enter Shikari and Deichkind,

Lamb Of God, Marilyn Manson, Machine Head, Enter Shikari, Guano Apes, The Koletzkis, Opeth, Motorhead, Dick Brave & The Backbeats, Lexy & K-Paul, Tenacious D, U.V.M. and Donots.

Both events will be held on the same weekend and share the same line up, taking place from 1-3 June 2012.

Rock am Ring 2012 takes place at the Nürburgring racetrack, Nürburg in east Germany, while Rock im Park 2012 takes place around the Frankenstadion in Nurnberg in the west of Germany.

Three-day Rock im Park tickets are available now for 155 euros plus shipping costs. This price is likely to increase after 15 March, if tickets are still available then.
