Rob Da Bank to publish festivals book

Bestival creator Rob Da Bank is set to publish his own book on festivals.

The hardback, titled 'Rob Da Bank's A-Z Of Festivals', will cover everything from Glastonbury to Coachella, Paul McCartney to Ozzy Osbourne.

The book is set to feature illustrations from his wife Josie who currently draws the images on the Bestival website and the festival's programmes.

Speaking about the book, Rob Da Bank: "I spend approximately 12 hours a day 365 days a year thinking about festivals – when I wake up, while I'm changing nappies, if I'm watching the box and before I go to bed. It's got beyond a joke but I can't leave the blasted things alone.

"I haven't been to anywhere near enough of them around the world but I do know a lot about them so I decided to write a book with some beautifully eccentric illustrations from my wife Josie."

'Rob Da Bank's A-Z Of Festivals' is out on 1 May, published by Boxtree.

Bestival 2009 will take place at Robin Hill Country Park, Newport, Isle Of Wight from 11-13 September.

Friendly Fires have self-confirmed themselves for the festival while Michael Nyman, Passion Pit and Bon Iver are rumoured to be appearing.
