Road To V is back, giving two unsigned acts the chance to open this year's V Festival.
The competition is now open and unsigned acts are being asked to submit tracks onto the Road To V website HERE.
Simply register before 6 April, upload your best track, tell the world a bit about yourselves and in a few months time you could be playing the same festival as Muse and Kings Of Leon.
All entries will then be judged by a panel of music industry experts, including V Festival promoter Mags Revell, NME's Mark Beaumont, A&R man Sav Remzi and Paul Samuels from Crown Music Management.
14 bands will go through to the live stage of the competition and will play at either the Carling Academy in London or Liverpool, with each gig to be broadcast during the summer on Channel 4.
Viewers will then decide who wins and gets the chance of a lifetime to open one of the UK’s biggest festivals.
Rosie Newey, head of music sponsorship at Virgin Media, said: “This year’s competition is going to be incredible. We’re now in our fifth year and the bands just keep getting better and better."
Since 2004, Road to V has helped nurtured great new talent, with bands such as The Young Knives, The Brightlights and Bombay Bicycle Club all opening the festival and going on to some major success.
You can keep up with the competition on www.roadtov.com, where’s there’s loads of music downloads, message-boards, forums and interviews with the bands.
