Red Hot Chili Peppers ‘have festival dates booked’

Red Hot Chili Peppers' drummer Chad Smith has revealed that the group are set to play festivals again in 2011.

Speaking to Music Radar, the sticksman said that the group are halfway through recording a new album and they already have plans for live dates next year.

He said: “The Peppers have festival dates booked for the summer of 2011 already”. Smith didn’t specify when they were or whether they’re in the UK.

Their last major festival appearance in the UK was at Reading and Leeds Festivals in 2007 to mixed reviews.
