As expected Pixies, Iron Maiden and Foo Fighters will headline this year's Carling Weekend Reading and Leeds Festivals - but there are a few big surprises too!
Pixies will play exclusive UK festival headline sets on the Friday of Reading and the Saturday at Leeds, topping a bill that also includes The Killers, Queens Of The Stone Age, The Coral, and Elbow.
Iron Maiden will close Reading on the Sunday night after rocking Leeds on the Friday evening. They head up a metal-dominated bill that features Marilyn Manson, Incubus, Iggy & The Stooges and NOFX.
And Foo Fighters will headline Reading on the Saturday before Leeds on the Sunday, following sets from Kings Of Leon, Razorlight, The Charlatans and Jimmy Eat World.
A few acts have also been confirmed for the NME / Radio 1 stage, including Kasabian, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Tears, Babyshambles, The Arcade Fire, Bloc Party and The Futureheads.
Many more acts are due to be confirmed over the coming weeks.
