Ray Davies dedicates tracks to Pete Quaife

Ray Davies dedicated a number of tracks to original Kinks bassist Pete Quaife on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury.

The singer was clearly choked up onstage over the passing of Quailfe on Thursday (24 June) as he sang ‘See My Friend’ in the sunshine.

The set itself was already spine-tingling enough as Davies was joined onstage by the Crouch End Festival Chorus for a memorable show.

‘Working Man’s Café’ and ‘Waterloo Sunset’ were stunning but it was ‘You Really Got Me’ that got people moving.

‘Lola’ was the biggest sing-a-long of the afternoon as disappointed England football fans headed back to the music after the team lost to Germany.
