Jarvis Cocker sent the T In The Park crowd into uproarious applause this evening by wiping his arse with the last ever edition of the News Of The World.

Taking his role as chief joker more seriously than his singing duties, Cocker had Scots laughing through tracks like ‘Disco 2000’ and ‘Babies’ by cracking jokes and giving sweets to those at the front.

“Of all the vices, drinking is the most incompatible with greatness… I’ll drink to that!” he toasted, before playing ‘I Spy’.

Of course, the biggest cheer of the night was predictably reserved for the anthemic closer, ‘Common People’

The set list:

Do You Remember The First Time?
Monday Morning
Mis-shapes, Mistakes, Misfits
Something Changed
E’s and Wizz
I Spy
This Is Hardcore
Common People
